Introduction
Lying at the foot of Jiesun Peak, Cloud Nest is surrounded by some famous rocks, such as Whistling Rock and Red Stove Rock, and faces a stream. It is the most beautiful spot in the Wuyi Mountain Scenic Area. There are a dozen caves in the area. Cloud and mist often appear in the morning and evening during spring and autumn. They moved among the peaks, sometimes gathering together, and sometimes scattering.
Wuyi mountain belongs to typical subtropical oceanic humid monsoonal climate, which has a distinct four seasons and abundant rain. The annual average temperate is 17℃ to 19℃, and the hottest season is July, the coldest season is January. The best time for traveling there is June to September.

Cloud Nest is actually a group of a dozen caves located o­n the west cliffs of Jiesun Peak. In the mornings during the winter and spring clouds linger here.. Nearby are Thundering Rock, Furnace Rock, Immortal's Trace Rock, Changing Clothes. At Chadong(Tea Cave) a clear spring flows down into Xianrong Pool all year round.
It is the most beautiful spot in the Wuyishan Scenic Area. There are a dozen or so caves in the area. In the mornings and evenings in spring and autumn, clouds and mist often come out of the caves, now moving among the peaks, now gathering together, and now scattering. Hence the name Cloud Nest.
The cloud nest has been divided into top part and bottom part by the Tiexiang Crag. Above the rock is the top cloud nest, and under the rock is the bottom of the cloud nest. According to “Wuyishanzhi” : many famous litterateurs and government official chose cloud nest to live out the world . Chensheng in Ming dynasty built Youxicaolu in the cloud nest , including Binyuntang, Xiyunge, Chaoyunlou, Shengyuntai etc. They are very magnificence.
